Manual
Monograin rations of livestock and poultry contain insufficient amounts of calcium, the most important component of the ration. Its purpose: construction of bone tissue, participation in regulation of blood reactions, especially in blood clotting, and influence on excitability of muscle and nerve tissues.. Calcium is an activator of the enzyme system, facilitates growth and development of the young body, increases fertility of females, offspring viability, milk production, and stimulates egg production of poultry.
Calcium deficiency is usually compensated by calcium-containing compounds. The source of calcium is limestone meal (Ca CO3+ Mg CO3).
