COMPOUND FEEDS KOMBI™ AND PMVS DYVO™ IN THE FEEDING FOR CHICKENS FOR BROILERS KROSU KOOB-500

Compound feeds KOMBI™ and PMVS DYVO™ in feeding KOOB-500 cross broiler chickens
To conduct an experiment with day-old KOOB-500 cross broiler chickens – analogs in terms of live weight – three groups (table 1) of 20 heads each were formed. Chickens were kept indoors on deep bedding in compliance with recommended technological parameters and veterinary requirements. During the 5 days of the transition period, the birds received a complete ration starting compound feed, balanced in terms of the main nutrients and biologically active substances.
The starter compound feed of “Agrolife korma” LLC was taken as control. In the main period of the experiment, the feed for the second experimental group was full-rational compound feed KOMBI™ (VITA PF, Obukhiv), and for the third experimental group, the feed included 10% corn grits, 50-55% extruded triticale grain of the winter variety “Bogodarske” and 35- 40% PMVS DYVO™ (VITA PF, Obukhiv). During the experiment, the live weight of chickens, average daily growth and feed consumption per 1 kg of growth were calculated.

Combifeed starter, which was consumed by the control group, was purchased from a network of veterinary pharmacies. Due to the fact that its consumption by poultry during the first main period (6-21 days) was low, and the available amount was sufficient, it was decided to use it in the second main period of the experiment (21-42 days). Combi feed KOMBI™ and PMVS DYVO™ were purchased directly from the manufacturer (VITA PF fodder plant in Obukhiv). On the basis of PMVS DYVO™, our own compound feed was produced in the form of grits. During the experiment, samples of the feed consumed by each group of birds were taken, and at the end of the experiment, its analysis was carried out.

The growth dynamics of broilers and the calculation of the experiment are shown in Table 2

What was the purpose of this experiment? It consisted in using the example of several fodder to show the effectiveness of obtaining poultry meat, when the influence of breeding qualities or breed characteristics is eliminated, and the key factor is the quality of the feed itself.
Already at the end of the first week of the experiment, a trend of growth intensity of broiler chickens was observed in the future. The highest average daily growth was noted in the birds of the second group that consumed the combined feed KOMBI™. In fact, it was more than 2 times higher than the growth rate of control group analogues and by 14.8% of broiler chickens of the third group. The key factor in the first period of the experiment was feed consumption. It was the lowest in birds from the control group. During this period, only 4.78 kg of feed was consumed per group (20 heads), while the birds of the second group consumed 17.4 kg, and the third 16.6 kg. (access to fodder is free).
On the 21st day, the live weight of broiler chickens of the second experimental group was 945.3 g, which is 2.4 times more than that of the birds of the control group and 11% more than that of the third experimental group. From the above data, a further increase in the gap in the live weight of the birds of the control and the second experimental groups can be observed. The obtained data indicate that the quality of feed is a key factor in the initial stages of growth of broiler chickens and affects their growth energy in the future.
In the second period of the experiment, from the 21st to the 42nd day, the average daily growth of broiler chickens of the second experimental group was 87.3g, which was higher compared to the growth of the control group by 3.3 times !!!. The average daily growth of broiler chickens of the third group was lower compared to the growth of birds of the second group by only 5.6%. In this period of the experiment, there was a trend towards the convergence of the growth intensity of the birds of these two groups. But the consumption of feed in birds of the third group compared to the second group decreased from 4.8% to 22%. That is, against the background of increasing convergence of birds of the second and third groups in increments, a decrease in feed consumption was observed in the birds of the third group. One feature of the feed consumed by the broiler chickens of the third experimental group is that it had a lower mass for the same volume compared to the feed of the other groups. This was due to the fact that triticale, which made up more than half of the structure of this feed, was in an extruded form, which affected, among other things, the nutritional value of the finished feed.

The reason for the low productivity of broiler chickens of the control group was the low level of protein in the starter feed. It did not meet the needs of birds not only up to three weeks of age, but also of the older group. Also, the combined feed starter of Agrolife Kormy LLC contained a sufficient level of energy, but an insufficient amount of essential amino acids in the protein composition of the feed necessary for the synthesis of its own body proteins by the rapidly growing body of broiler chickens.

Combined feeds KOMBI™ consumed by broiler chickens of the second research group provided the birds with all the necessary nutrients and metabolic energy for their intensive growth, as evidenced by the average daily gains and the age at which slaughter condition was reached.
Quite interesting results were obtained when broiler chickens of the third research group were fed compound feed of their own production with the addition of PMVS DYVO™. This feed had a slightly lower level of protein compared to KOMBI™ compound feed, but a higher level of energy and a low fiber content. The last indicators were obtained due to the processing of triticale grain on an extruder and in this state included in the compound feed. Due to extrusion, the level of components of raw triticale fiber inaccessible to birds decreased and anti-nutrients (alkyl resorcinols) were neutralized, which this culture inherited from rye and are a limiting factor affecting the percentage of grain use in compound feed. Thus, the lowest feed consumption per 1 kg of growth was obtained in the birds of the third experimental group.

According to the results of the experiment, it was established:
– the list of compound feed KOMBI™ for broilers provides intensive growth of KOOB-500 cross broiler chickens;
– – compound feed of our own production with the addition of PMVS DYVO™ (35/30/25%) to the grain part favors high intensity of poultry growth and feed savings..
